After being away for nearly 4 months, I got to come back home to Utah for a little break. The Monday after I got to Utah was Memorial Day so on Sunday we went on our little Memorial Day trip to the cemeteries. I had been thinking about Sally a lot and was grateful to be able to go visit her grave just a few days after the 3 year anniversary of her death.

A few days later my mom and I went to Santaquin to have lunch with Lisa and her kids. I have missed my extended family, especially these little boys, and it was fun to spend the afternoon with them. It is amazing how much they seem to have grown just in the few months that I have been away! We then headed to Mapleton to visit the grandparents. We chatted away and I was so glad I got to see all of them and feel so blessed to have so much family so close together.
It just so happens that Kali was in town from Boston and I was in town from California during the same time. It was so fun to see her cute little prego belly. We decided that while we were both in town we needed to head up to Logan for a little trip down memory lane. We gathered the essentials...

chex mix...

all of the sweet music mixes we made while in college...
and of course, our cameras!
As soon as we reached Logan, we started with first things first, a trip to Firehouse. Oh my how I have missed this place. We went all out and savored every bite.
Next it was on to visiting all of the places we ever lived while in Logan. Our first stop was the infamous Jones Hall where we experienced our first taste of college while living in these awesome dorms. We were thoroughly amused coming back 4 years later and seeing how nasty these apartments really were!
My old bed!
The vents a.k.a. the tool Kali used for revenge...
Then it was off to Old Farm, Old Main View, and Brentwood where all the memories of the good, the bad and the ugly all came flooding back.

Our trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to First Dam where we spent many days "studying" which turned into taking a nap, feeding the ducks, flying kites, and goofing around.

We were really excited to go feed the ducks. Unfortunately, the ducks weren't as excited about the idea. They wanted nothing to do with us, or our bread.
After we gave up on the ducks we hit a few more of our favorite frequently visited sites in Logan.
The cemetery
Wal-Mart
Campus
And before we headed home we met up with a few friends.
Kelli was down in Orem for the weekend so the next morning Charlie, Kelli and I got together for breakfast and got to catch up. It was so fun to see these girls again. They were such fun roommates, and Amanda's roommates next year!
Kali, Whitney and I were also able to get together. 4 years after meeting in good ol' Jones 302, we are at different stages of life and living across the country from each other. Funny where life takes us.
Of course between all the visits with friends, it was fun to get to spend time together as a family. The sibs all went to dinner at Chili's. We also got in some good quality time playing Rummikub, Phase 10, Nertz and watching Gilmore Girls of course.

After 10 days, tons of chats,
sleeping in, LOTS of eating out, and just hanging out, I was ready to get back to my life here. So for now, goodbye Utah, see you in a month.
