Temple - Our first stop was the temple, mostly because we don't know our way around San Diego and we figured the temple would be hard to miss. There were a few weddings going on so we stood back and admired all the brides and bridesmaids taking pictures (who all had the same color - green - what's up with that?) and walked around the temple grounds.
San Diego Museum of Art - Rather than doing the typical Sea World or Zoo, we decided to try and be cultured. So we went to the San Diego Museum of Art. We stayed long enough to feel like we got our moneys worth but left with the conclusion that we are just plain not cultured or we just don't understand art. But, it was pretty fun and we saw a lot of interesting stuff.
Mt. Soledad - Next we went to the top of Mt. Soledad. From the top there is an amazing 360 degree view of San Diego which was amazing. There is also a veterans memorial at the top which was cool as well.
Lunch - Rather than going somewhere "normal" we wanted to eat somewhere that would be fun :) We found a fish place and ate fish and chips on the water. We had an amazing view and it was yummy and very pretty.
La Jolla Cove - Going to La Jolla Cove was one of the highlights of my whole time in California. It is one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. It is known for the seals that live there and it was very entertaining to just sit and watch them. They were so darn cute. We were there at sunset and it was absolutely beautiful.

What an incredible trip. You guys packed a lot into one day! Uncle Craig lived in La Jolla for awhile. He probably knows that cove. I'm utterly jealous about "Wicked". I'd love to see it again.
I am so jealous that you got to see wicked and glad that you liked it. I plan on seeing that someday. Guess what I think I have actually been to La Jolla Cove. I loved it there to. I am glad to hear you are having fun.
i am crying right now. remember how we want to be old lady neighbors and sit on our front porch together? well I think that for 3 months of the year, it should be in logan, and then we should have fall/winter/spring homes in san diego.
i'm jealous.

(and yes, you can imagine that in my whiny voice.)
Beautiful scenery!! What a lucky girl you are to experience such fun things. I'm glad you are taking advantage of it all while you are there.
