Wow. It's been a while. I seem to only post when I go somewhere. This time it was Labor Day in L.A. Todd moved back a few weeks ago so I went out to hang out for the weekend. Here are the highlights. (Disclaimer: I was horrible at taking pictures. And the few I took are not great. But here they are...)
Santa Monica Pier. Easiest my favorite of all the piers I've been to. We spent a lot of time here. We rented beach cruisers and cruised all around up to Venice Beach and Marina Del Ray. It was beautiful and the weather couldn't have been better.
John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl. Pretty much amazing. He is probably the cutest little old man ever. Not to mention a genius.
Amazing venue. It was a sold out show and it seats 18,000 people.
Dodgers stadium.
We ventured inland to the Dodgers game and it was HOT but really fun. As you can see there weren't that many people there.
Great seats just a few rows up.
Right field. No zoom.
We went to Universal City which I had never been to before.
The first store we saw was a Raiders store. I obviously immediately thought of Parker and had to get some pictures to send to him.
Parker's paradise.
Universal city.
Candy store! I love candy more than pretty much anything so we had to check out the giant candy store.
Another Parker moment.
While living in Orange County I only went up to LA a few times so it was fun to experience the ins and outs of the county with a local. We ate lots of incredible food and crammed a lot into a few days. It was a good last blast of heat and Summer and now I am ready for Utah Fall!
