I've got an itch

I have been wanting to learn how to play the violin for a long time. Lately, I have been itching to get my hands on one! I put Cannon in D on in my car and just marvel at how beautiful the violin part is. So tonight I went to dinner with some friends at a little french restaurant. It was so cute and very delicious. There was a lady in the corner playing the violin and it was awesome. She was taking requests, playing songs from Beauty and the Beast, Titanic, and all of Les Miserables (yes, we were there for a long time). I seriously sat there in awe the whole time. Now I am not delusional. I realize I will not be able to play like that for a long long time, if ever. All I want is to get one of those babies in my hands and be able to play cannon in D. Someday...

I had no idea of this little itch of yours! I totally wish I had learned to play the violin growing up. My sister and Mom play and I just love it. Canon in D has to be one of the best songs too! I say go for it Jenn! Get one of those little babies and play!!!:)

Wow violin cool. I hope that you do get one someday. My little sister taught me how to play twinkle twinkle little star on hers... I was not very good.

I played violin when I was in 7th and 8th grade. It is a beautiful instrument. I just loved another one better :)

I never cease to be amazed at what I learn about my children. I had no idea you wanted to play the violin. Why didn't we get you into orchestra at Northridge and let you play away? Parker did that for one year and had a few private lessons on the side by Jennie Shaw. Oh well, we did give in and get you a piano :)
